Every family is unique, flexible locations, helpful tips regarding clothing, pets, weather, and locations all help to be sure your family portrait suits your family. I have several out of doors locations a short drive from the studio that are perfect for outdoor portraits. Indoor studio portraits can be done with the selection of modern back drops and lighting. I do enjoy traveling to do portraits and parties.
I am always happy to travel across Ontario and do so regularly, for distances greater than 30 minutes from the studio I ask for a donation towards fuel to help with expenses.

What to wear?
Family and group photos can be done however people show up to the photo, and sometimes just getting your family together is a major accomplishment in its self, don’t get too consumed in clothing because it can turn off some family members and they may be in a poor frame of mind when they get out of the car, I’d rather have a cheerful mish mash of character than a family feud.
For the families that have fun with fashion, this gets better every year… white and khaki has been done for many years and people are moving onto to some clever combinations. The photo on the side has some unique groupings, as long as the colours are of similar tones it will work. For example pinks and blues of similar intensity, you wouldn’t do navy and pale pink, light blue and light pink would work great. Generally we say no prints as it can quickly get out of control, however plaid and red/black check is all the rage this year, so there are always exceptions. Jean are always safe to wear and are generally the favourite. Note: if we are in the studio, it is generally a barefoot or sock zone.
Many of my friends and family have been taking their children to Wendy’s holiday photo shoots for years. So when my daughter Kaydence was born I knew I wanted Wendy to capture her growth during the first year. Wendy was extremely patient and professional at our newborn photo shoot and took such amazing pictures. I couldn’t be happier to have this special time captured by Wendy’s photography. We are looking forward to watching Kaydence grow through the lens of her camera.Kate
The portrait of MacAdam, Iain and I now hangs in our dining room. Skiing, Blue Mountain, and TSC have played a major part in our lives, and the photo is a great reminder of our winter fun during the off-season.Beverlee
Samples of colour choices for family portraits, note that while colours change the intensity stays the same. Each grouping is four to six samples across. Jeans make for a favourite pant. Studio portraits are done bare foot or in socks – usually.
Wendy you are incredibly great at what you do. Our daughter was not the easiest person on Saturday, but there are so many great photos. Thank you for everything.Tammy
