Every family is unique, flexible locations, helpful tips regarding clothing, pets, weather, and locations all help to be sure your family portrait suits your family. I have several out of doors locations a short drive from the Collingwood, Blue Mountain that are perfect for outdoor portraits. Indoor studio portraits can be done with the selection of modern back drops and lighting. I do enjoy traveling to do portraits and parties.
I am always happy to travel across Ontario and do so regularly, for distances greater than 30 minutes from the studio I ask for a donation towards fuel to help with expenses.

Immediate Family
Sittings in the local area are $129. and include 30min session. Suitable for one family including parents, children, dog. Included a set of the six top images, additional images may be purchased at a discounted price.
Extended family & Garden Parties
The extended family extravaganza $400. Up to 1.5 hours of shooting. Additional time $100/hour. Wherever the family is gathering at the farm or cottage, Grandparents, children, grandchildren – lots of possibilities for combinations, we can do these grouping formal, informal, or simply as candids. Includes digital selection of key images of each family grouping and candids. Digital images are sized to print up to 8×10, any larger please order through the studio.
What to wear?
Family and group photos can be done however people show up to the photo, and sometimes just getting your family together is a major accomplishment in its self, don’t get too consumed in clothing because it can turn off some family members and they may be in a poor frame of mind when they get out of the car, I’d rather have a cheerful mish mash of character than a family feud.
For the families that have fun with fashion, this gets better every year… white and khaki has been done for many years and people are moving onto to some clever combinations. The photo on the side has some unique groupings, as long as the colours are of similar tones it will work. For example pinks and blues of similar intensity, you wouldn’t do navy and pale pink, light blue and light pink would work great. Generally we say no prints as it can quickly get out of control, however plaid and red/black check is all the rage this year, so there are always exceptions. Jean are always safe to wear and are generally the favourite. Note: if we are in the studio, it is generally a barefoot or sock zone.
